Abstract

|
Studies on Determination of Ethinylestradiol in Anabolic Vitamin Preparation.
In order to determine Ethinylestradiol in anabolic vitamin preparation, Colorimetric method was investigated.
A quantitative paper chromatography and column chromatography has been developed which is used Routinely asa stality assay for ethinylestradiol in anabolic vitamin tablets.
The method involves a) extraction of the ethinylestradiol into ether from alcohol-water phase, b) clarification of the extract by chromatography on an alumina column, c) paper chromatographic separation of the ethinylestradiol present in column eluate from interfering degradation products,
d) Elution of the ethinylestradiol form the chromatogram, and e) quantitative spectrophotometric analysis of the elute.
According to the results, the followings could be summarized.
1)A mehtod combining quantitative paepr cvhormatography and column chromatogroaphy has been developed for the assy of micro amounts of ethinylestradiol in anabolic vitamin tablets.
2) Quantitative reaction could be found at wave length of 660??, final concentration rage 3~40r/ml, error range ±5%.
